Sun Twine

The sun is like twine that shines with our common thread. A warm tether warm as a golden embrace and light as a feather keeping a string throughout our hands. Keeping our blood close within a holding pulse. Clean within the sun’s wash over you and me.

A Specific Instance

A tangled tussle under the shade of a hungry moon. The lawn mingles with good night and top of the morning. Sensation is all the rage between the lovers’ moment and judgment’s eyes. Closed and believing she knows this will sever a severe connection while untying a knot of vows. His hair flips with nonchalance, and her legs long for the stars. A specific instance welcomed in escape and promise brought about with a prayer sent to the skeletons that dance in taste and hate.

Crisis of Conscience

The hand that trembled did not hold. Crouched at her gravesite; I muttered ancient rites. Believing beneath the ground there was a chance. I called out in the bone chill; deliver unto me a cadaver that dances under the promise of luna. Bring her pale, stricken, and needy. I will bring her health and wealth. She will keep me wise. A plea answered. A cheek cupped to show a tender notion, and a rancid complexion. You were gone much too soon for your time. I will keep you in a locket. I will keep you close at hand I will have nowhere else to keep you.

Compass Malady

Turn and speak with blushed wine and a raucous tale. Turn and walk with a high collar for midnight sleet. Turn and be blind without a reasonable head for the severed world that falls before you. Turn and run away from the familiar road, lined with the graves of what you used to know. Come, and find solace in the condemned, who are eternal in their damning wit and decrepit wail. Deny the everyday and join them in a life of decadent hellfire thrown at the mercy of heaven’s court.
